Tour Terms and Conditions
Introduction
At Skual Tours, we are committed to providing safe, meaningful, and high-quality travel experiences. These Terms and Conditions establish a clear framework to ensure transparency, fairness, and mutual respect between our guests and our team.
By booking a tour with Skual Tours, you acknowledge and agree to the policies outlined below. These policies are designed to protect both you and our company, ensuring a smooth, enjoyable, and secure journey for everyone involved.
1. Booking and Payment
To provide a seamless and personalized experience, it is important that all information provided during the booking process is accurate and complete.
Once we receive your booking request, our team will confirm your reservation and assist you with any necessary arrangements.Guests may book a tour through email, phone, our website, or approved third-party booking platforms.
2. Payment Policy
Full payment is required to confirm your booking unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Timely payment allows us to secure professional guides, accommodations, transportation, and other essential services to ensure a high-quality experience.
2.1 Single-Day Tours
Payment Timing: Payment is due upon arrival on the date of the tour.
Method: Please settle the balance in cash with our office staff or your assigned tour guide.
2.2 Multi-Day Tours : For multi-day itineraries, all payments are managed directly through our head office to ensure your journey is perfectly coordinated.
Booking Process: Once we receive your booking request, our team will send you a detailed itinerary and a formal payment request.
Payment Schedule: To secure your experience, payments are split into two installments:
First Payment (20% Deposit): This non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your spot and begin essential trip preparations, such as booking local partners and accommodations.
Final Payment (Remaining 80%): The balance is due 60 days before your departure date.
Payment Details: During the confirmation process, our office will provide a full breakdown of accepted payment methods, applicable bank fees, and our cancellation terms.
3. Cancellation Policy
We understand that travel plans can change unexpectedly. Our cancellation policy is designed to offer flexibility while allowing us to manage resources and commitments with our local partners effectively.
Please note that day tours and multi-day tours follow different cancellation policies.
3.1 Day Tours
Customer Cancellations
Cancellations made 24 hours or more before the scheduled start time will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled start time are non-refundable due to the short notice and operational costs involved.
Company Cancellations
Skual Tours reserves the right to cancel a tour due to unforeseen circumstances, such as severe weather, safety concerns, or insufficient bookings. In such cases, guests will be offered the option to reschedule or receive a full refund.
Refund Processing
Refunds will be issued excluding any transaction fees (e.g., bank charges, credit card processing fees, or third-party commissions).
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of confirmation.
3.2 Multi-Day Tours: We understand that travel plans can change. At the same time, our multi-day tours require advance arrangements with accommodations, transportation, and local partners. For this reason, the following cancellation terms apply:
More than 60 days before departure
If you cancel more than 60 days before your scheduled departure date, only the 20% deposit is non-refundable. No additional charges will apply, and you will not be required to pay the remaining balance.30–59 days before departure: If you cancel between 30 and 59 days before departure, 50% of the total tour price is non-refundable. If the full balance has already been paid, we will refund 50% of the total amount, minus any applicable transaction fees. This covers non-recoverable costs from hotels and service providers that have already been confirmed.
Less than 30 days before departure: If you cancel less than 30 days before departure, the full tour price (100%) is non-refundable, as all arrangements will have been finalized and costs committed.
Important Notes
The deposit (20%) is non-refundable under all circumstances, as it is used to secure your booking and begin preparations for your trip.
We recommend that all guests purchase travel insurance to cover unexpected changes, cancellations, or emergencies.
If you need to make changes to your booking, please contact us as early as possible. We will do our best to assist where possible.
In the event of extraordinary circumstances beyond our control such as natural disasters, border closures, or serious safety concerns Skual Tours will make every reasonable effort to reschedule your tour to a future date, subject to availability.
Refund Processing
Refunds will be issued excluding any transaction fees (e.g., bank charges, credit card processing fees, or third-party commissions).
Refunds will be processed within 30 days of confirmation.
4. Changes to Bookings
4.1 Day Tour Changes
Guests may request changes to their day tour booking up to 48 hours (2 days) before the scheduled date.
Changes are subject to availability and may result in additional costs, depending on the nature of the change (e.g., adding participants or modifying activities).
Skual Tours may make minor adjustments, such as timing or location changes, due to weather, road conditions, or local events.
If a major change is required, such as replacing a key activity, we will inform you immediately. Guests will have the option to:
Accept the revised itinerary,
Choose an alternative tour of equal value, or
Cancel the booking and receive a full refund.
4.2 Multi-Day Tour Changes
Guest-Requested Changes
Minor changes, such as dietary requests or small timing adjustments, may be made at no additional cost, subject to operational limitations.
Significant changes, such as modifying travel dates, changing accommodations, or replacing participants, must be requested at least 30 days before departure.
Any extra costs incurred due to supplier penalties or rate differences will be charged to the guest.
Changes requested less than 30 days before departurecannot be guaranteed and may be treated as a cancellation.
Process for Requesting Changes All change requests must be submitted in writing via email. Once reviewed, we will confirm availability and provide a revised invoice if applicable.
Company-Initiated Changes: While we carefully plan every detail of our tours, unexpected circumstances may require us to make changes.
Minor changes, such as reordering activities or adjusting transportation schedules, are considered part of normal travel flexibility and do not qualify for compensation.
Major changes, such as replacing a key destination or accommodation with one of a different standard, will be communicated as soon as possible. In these cases, we will offer:
An alternative of equal or greater value, or
A partial refund for the affected portion of the tour.
5. Force Majeure (Unforeseen Circumstances)
Skual Tours shall not be held liable for any delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These events include, but are not limited to:
Natural Disasters: Floods, storms, earthquakes, or extreme weather conditions.
Public Safety: Political unrest, strikes, civil disturbances, or government-imposed travel restrictions.
Health & Logistics: Health emergencies, pandemics, or disruptions/cancellations by third-party transportation providers.
Our Commitment to You : In the event of such circumstances:
Adaptation: We will make every reasonable effort to adjust itineraries to ensure the tour can continue safely.
Credit & Refunds: If the tour cannot proceed, refunds will be processed based on the recoverable costs from our third-party suppliers (hotels, transport, etc.).
Future Credit: In many cases, we may offer a travel credit for a future date as a flexible alternative to a refund.
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance to protect against unforeseen cancellations or medical emergencies.
6. Health and Safety
Your safety is our highest priority.
Please inform us of any medical conditions, allergies, or dietary needs when booking so we can make appropriate arrangements.
All guests are required to follow safety instructions provided by guides and staff.
Skual Tours cannot be held responsible for injuries or losses resulting from failure to follow safety guidelines or from personal negligence.
7. Liability
While we strive to ensure a safe and smooth experience, certain elements are beyond our control. Skual Tours is not liable for:
Injuries, delays, or losses caused by third-party providers such as hotels, airlines, or transportation companies.
Cancellations or disruptions caused by natural disasters, illness, or political unrest.
Activities that guests choose to undertake independently or outside the official itinerary.
8. Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend that all guests purchase comprehensive travel insurance before traveling.
An appropriate policy should cover:
Medical emergencies and hospital care,
Trip cancellations or delays,
Lost luggage, theft, or damage to personal belongings,
Emergency evacuation or accidents during activities.
Guests are responsible for obtaining their own travel insurance. Skual Tours is not liable for any financial losses or expenses that would otherwise be covered by a standard insurance policy. We recommend finalizing your coverage before your tour begins for your own peace of mind.
9. Code of Conduct
At Skual Tours, we foster a safe and respectful environment for guests, guides, and local communities.
The following behaviors are strictly prohibited:
Sexual harassment or inappropriate conduct,
Discrimination or abuse of any kind,
Aggressive or threatening behavior,
Any form of child exploitation or abuse.
Violations of this code may result in immediate removal from the tour without refund. In serious cases, incidents will be reported to local authorities.
10. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Cambodia.
Any disputes must first be reported to Skual Tours during the tour so we can address them promptly.
If not resolved, formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the tour’s conclusion.
All legal matters shall be resolved exclusively in Cambodian courts.
11. Privacy Policy
We respect and protect your privacy.
Personal information collected, such as passport details or health information, will only be used to operate the tour and ensure your safety.
This information will not be shared with third parties except when required to provide services (e.g., hotels, transportation) or by law.
