A 12-Day Cambodia Cultural Journey
An intentional, slow-paced journey designed to explore Cambodia’s history, people, and living culture with depth and care.
Why We Offer This Journey & Who It Is For
This 12-day journey was created by Skual Tours for travelers who seek more than sightseeing. It is designed for those who want to understand Cambodia through lived experiences — its history, spirituality, art, and everyday life — while traveling at a thoughtful, human pace.
At Skual Tours, we believe meaningful travel is not measured by how many places you visit, but by how deeply you connect with them. Our mission is to create experiences that encourage reflection, cultural exchange, and mutual understanding, while honoring the dignity and knowledge of local communities.
This journey is ideal for:
Curious travelers who value depth over speed
Educators, students, and lifelong learners

Transportations
There will be a variety of transportation used during our trip. Our goal is to create meaningful experiences for our guests while contributing positively to local communities.
Travel within the region:
Most local travel will be by tuk-tuk, a typical and widely used form of transportation in Cambodia. Tuk-tuks are common throughout the country and offer a great way to experience daily local life while moving between communities.
Long-distance travel by train:
For longer journeys, we will use the local train to travel from Phnom Penh to Battambang. The railway was closed for many years due to war-related damage and reopened in 2016. Currently, the main operating routes are Phnom Penh–Battambang and Phnom Penh–Kampot. Traveling by train offers a slower, scenic way to see the countryside and connect with everyday local life.
Boat journey to Siem Reap:
We will use a local private boat to travel from Battambang to Siem Reap. This unique journey depends on the water level of Tonlé Sap, the largest lake in Southeast Asia. The boat trip offers a special opportunity to observe floating villages and riverside communities, providing deeper insight into life on the lake.
